Academic Summer Camp
Vermont Summer Academy is a top-notch academic summer camp. The residence hall is really the main focus of campus life, and is where everything happens outside of class. We take over a while building, and we make it our wown. As always, safety is the number one concern! Our second focus is fun. We do everything we can to make the program as fun as possible!
Our residence hall features lots of singles and doubles. The students are housed on different floors by gender, and on the specific halls by age.
The residence hall at our academic summer camp has a lot of great amenities, the same amenities enjoyed by the College students during the year, including a pool table, a Foosball table, a ping pong table, and all sort of other games and things to do. Laundry is in the building and free. There is a kitchenette, stove, fridge, sink, and a microwave for students.
During the evening, the social spaces can be used for things like our talent show, poetry slams, music jams, game night, and a variety of other fun activities. While we schedule multiple curated activities each night, sometimes we leave free time for the students to just hang out and have their own fun (supervised of course!). They can hang out in their rooms, on their hall, in the lounges, on the steps, and just talk and get to know each other. Or they can grab a counselor and walk over to Stewart’s and get an ice cream or a snack, or they can order a pizza… all of the same sorts of things the College kids will do during the year (minus the snow of course!)
